You do, indeed, offer good food for thought. Thanks for the list of good stepmom blogs, too. I've been searching for them. Seems to be a shortage of great info for those of us in this leaky, creaky boat! :)

Hi! I recently started sharing some of my stepmom stories at www.stepmotherinthesuburbs.blogspot.com. I wish that I had known how therapeutic it can be to read about other stepfamilies. Maybe I wouldn't have been such a nut-case if I had known that I am just plain "average".
Stepfamilies are hard. I'm not going to go on Oprah and recommend that other women do it the way I did it but I do feel like we are coming out of the wickets (my husband's word).
